This may sound like a STUPID Question, But since when does Norton's Ghost work with Linux?
And besides Clonezilla is free, Ghost is around $50 on amazon.
In these days and times FREE is good, at least as long as it works IMHO.... _________________ There's "THREE" things I "NEVER" discuss.

puppy linux has a dd feature that clones a drive bit for bit and its pretty fast also.
oh by the way puppy is also free and easy to use
many other distros also feature disc cloning
I have used nortons ghost and i dont care for it or any other nortons products.
clonezilla is about the fastest disc cloner you can find
you can find the precise instructions at the website
but remember clonezilla has multiple capabilities that is why it has so many options.
I used it for a network clone of pclinuxos (9 emachines of same model and size) and it finished all in under 20 minutes _________________ the only stupid question there is is the question that is not asked!

That's an excellent question. I know Thinkpads with the custom partition configuration don't work with Ghost, anyone have any issues using Ghost to image a Linux drive? How about OSX?
I didn't know there was a bootable parted magic disk. I'm downloading that pronto! _________________ Why nerds like computers: unzip, strip, touch, finger, grep, mount, fsck, more, yes, fsck, fsck, fsck, umount, sleep.
