What kind of problems? Unfortunately being based on older code X4 has some issues with newer hardware. _________________

Thanks for the look TekMate. The problem, I think, was drivers. I was too impatient, and reinstalled. This OS is growing on me. Beginning to see greatness of the console. I tend to plunge in before I should. Digging around in the forum (actually right up front is the newb info) I found a likely constellation of culprits ie numerous attempts and some failures at installing unsupported debs. So, I elected to, as I mentioned, reinstall.
I look forward to eventually using the command line with greater competence
and 'til that time i'll stick with Xan pkgs. I am liking KDE I think, over gnome. _________________ "Its obligation as analysis is to suggest analogues for exile and death: to name what is at risk. Courage, in this usage, alludes to a capacity for facing down the dark forces."-Gluck |
